Question
Barbara: Recently bought this tool at a sale, asked what it was and woman said she thought it was a tool for sewing Burlap. Was she right? Had 3 patent dates: Great Britain, Canada and USA 1926. Here is a link to pictures if they would help. Thanks for any info you can give me. Phillip

Hello Phillip. I have seen similar tools and they were used for rug making. Google has a US patent search service that is quite good. I'm not sure if they cover British patents, but it's worth a try. Good luck with your hunt to identify your purchase. Barbara
