Question
I have a dayton scale patented in 1895 serial no is 302270 in excellent condition curios to know it's value and who would be interested in it . I'm sending a picture Thanks
Answer Hi Carol,
Your scale would have been manufactured in the late 1800s to the early 1900s. Retail value might be $150-$400 in the condition shown. Most scale collectors don't collect these barrel top computing scales as they are so big and heavy. Their value lies with the interior decorator or home owner who might want one really special ornate scale for a kitchen or game room display piece.
Hope this helps.
