I just acquired an identical looking piece.   The shipping tag was attached and was through Montgomery Wards.  It is rock solid except for the deterioration of the finish and the cushion and back rest coverings.  The name is as you state, "Kroehler" and lists a number of cities where the furniture was manufactured.  It was shipped to a local resident on 2/18/?.  No year was mentioned unfortunately.

I will attempt to answer questions about American antique furniture, including construction details, style, period, manufacturers, care, repair and storage. I do not have any background in appliances, musical instruments, sewing machines, trunks, lighting, clocks or children's and baby furniture and will not respond to questions about those items.

I ran an antique furniture restoration business for twenty years.
