Question
i just bought an older chest of drawers, and found inside a package of needles, each about the size of a human hair marked H. MILWARD %26 SONS patent helix needles, sharps 10 patent wrappers J.F. MILWARD sole agent 1857.  these needles are new, package is in rough condition. can you tell me if they have any value

Answer
Hello Charles.  Needle packets and needle books are certainly collectible.  Since they have been massed produced over a number of years, they have little monetary value.  Considering your package is in rough condition, it may have more value as useable needles rather than a collectible packet.  eBay often has needle books and needle packets for auction.  You may want to search to see if there is anything similar to yours.  There are needle book and needle packet newsletters and web sites, as well.  Barbara
