Answer

Gottlieb's 1950 Knock
Hi Todd,

It just has to be... Yes it does.. Who else would have this rare little beauty, maybe, yes maybe, it just has to be a Todd (my friend) with a "M", my Psyche is telling me!, could I be right? We're into the big bucks here on this one, and rare enough it's hard to locate it in common reference. But, I have a nice fresh value for you for the new year 2010. Right out of a guide that the ink is still drying on, value is $3,300.00, with is showing us the trend of value, decreeing $200.00 over the last year, but not uncommon with collectible values being off a bit in the last few years. Great game, production started in 1950 and released in December of that year. This is a one player game and Gottlieb manufactured 3,000 of these units. A Electro-Mechanical game with a Spinner, play field Mechanical Animation, Symmetrical play field, and is a Significantly Collectible Pinball game. Information can be found in the following books: Pinball Art by Keith Temple. Pinball: The Lure of the Silver Ball by Bill Kurtz. Arcade Treasures by Bill Kurtz, and The Complete Pinball Book, collecting the game and it's history by Marco Rossignoli. Very-Very nice machine Todd, and I enjoyed providing what information I have on it to you.

Thank You!

Cheers

Sincerely

Expertise

I am an expert on old coin operated machines, slot machines, trade stimulator's, jukeboxes, old arcade machines, etc. I have been identifying these for people who respond to my web site listed below, for a few years now. In almost all cases I am able to tell them about their old coin operated machines, the year, the value, and other general information about their machines. I do not know much about soda vending machines, coin banks, or scales, but I will try to help you with these if I can. Experience

I bought my first slot machine, a .50 Cent Mills Black Cherry in 1969 and have been hooked from that time, I still have that Slot machine! Before that I found a open barrel full of old scraped jukebox wall boxes behind a restaurant, I wanted them all but never took a one of them. Anything that took a coin drove me nuts!
