Collectibles-General (Antiques)/Small Coffee Table with Eagle Carved on Top

I have a table exactly like this photo except mine is rectangle shaped. I think the loose pieces on top probably had a piece of glass attached to it, and is the frame, as mine is. My grandparents lived in  Perth Amboy,N.J. and had this table in thier living room as thier coffee table when my mom was growing up & then when  I was growing up.It is a mahogany colored wood. I do not  know if it is worth anything but we have had this in our family since around 1936.

How much do you think this table would be worth if it had not been painted and still has the glass on top of the carving?

I have the original oval table with the glass frame covering the eagle. The furniture is in excellent condition. How much is it worth?

We recently received the same identical table as a gift. It is in excellent condition just missing the glass over the Eagle. We are curious and would appreciate any knowledge anyone is willing to share.

In regards to American antique, vintage and collectible furniture I can help with wood identification, styles, age, periods, historical coatings, materials, techniques, repair, restoration, refinishing, and value. I do not study mid century and later furniture nor do I deal in lamps, and other smalls. You may ask for values and I will give you current market values, I will not give you 'feel good' values. Understand that there are many factors that contribute to market value. If you want a feel good, unrealistic number, please call a local inexperienced appraiser. It is my desire to help you and in doing so I increase my knowledge as well. For that I thank you.

I have been in the antiques furniture and restoration business and in the sales of antique furniture for 40+ years and have continued my education in the trade attending workshops and seminars by various organizations, institutions, and private collectors.
