Question
I recently acquired a 1966 rowe ami jukebox.  It looks great and also plays, but I no longer have any records for it.  The jukebox now sits in a thrift store that I am opening and I am trying to determine a fair asking price.  Can you help me?   The model # is 1100.

Answer

1966 AMI/ROWE "JAO BAN
Hi Chad,

Check the photo attached just to be sure we have the right jukebox here, as I don't have it this model listed by it's model number, but by name. This is the 1966 AMI/ROWE "JAO BANDSTAND" jukebox of 1966. Yes I can help you with value, but you might want to write me at Jackpot7@q.com and if you do, I'll attach some more information of valuing jukebox's as you might find this very usefully in you Thrift store business, also this will include information on how to grade your jukebox's, so you can determine proper value, it will help you a great deal should you be buying and selling these in the future. You might also be interested to know, that you can buy reproduction sets of records for filling up you record magazine. Value on you Jukebox, I'll cut to the Chase on this one and call it a grade 3 as it is working and I assume it is complete, value is going to be around $550 to maybe a little more like 750.00 if it is nice and has records in it. Again Chad, write me at my email and I'll attach a; how to determine the jukebox's grade number, and some more very interesting information which will help you in you business should you end up selling more jukebox's in the future.

Thank You
Sincerely
Rodger Knutson

Expertise

I am an expert on old coin operated machines, slot machines, trade stimulator's, jukeboxes, old arcade machines, etc. I have been identifying these for people who respond to my web site listed below, for a few years now. In almost all cases I am able to tell them about their old coin operated machines, the year, the value, and other general information about their machines. I do not know much about soda vending machines, coin banks, or scales, but I will try to help you with these if I can. Please email photo's to: jackpot7@ix.netcom.com My web site is at: http://www.coinslots.com

Experience

I bought my first slot machine, a .50 Cent Mills Black Cherry in 1969 and have been hooked from that time, I still have that Slot machine! Before that I found a open barrel full of old scraped jukebox wall boxes behind a restaurant, I wanted them all but never took a one of them. Anything that took a coin drove me nuts!
