Question

Bally 742A
I have a Bally 742A and would like to know what it is worth.  It takes a single
25 cent coin.  This machine is certified by the gaming commission and is
legal.  The machine has all the certifications on one side of it.  I appreciate
you taking the time to answer this question.
Sincerely,
Grant

Answer
Hi Grant,

It's been a lot of years since I answered your question here but someone has asked me if you still had this slot machine, and if you do, if you may wanted to sell it. If so, please write me at Jackpot7@q.com and I'll give you his contact information. Thank you Grant, and I trust you are well and everything is going great for you!

Many Thanks!

Sincerely

Hi Grant,

The Money Honey Model 742A, an original by all that I can see in this photo, as they did make an after market money honey kit to convert Bally 742A's to a money Honey game, but you have an original with a light up Marquee on top, and the jackpot glass, rare, which has coins you can place behind the glass, how cool! and in very nice condition with the small, right size, locking casino stand which allows the house money to drop in a bucket below and behind the locking door, made this the perfect package! If it were 7 years ago I would tell you to ask about $2,000.00 for this, in this kind of condition but sadly things have changed, really bad in this down turn we are in right now. The blue value guide gives this machine a value of 1,550.00 in 1998, plus add the stand to the value. The early model 742 had white sides and were 110 volt, then the model 742A where they lowered the voltage to 50 volts in most of the circuits. The Money Honey was one of the top five most profitable machines for Bally, and was also the fist model to use the new invention of the coin hopper which allowed for new large payouts to take place. Real value right now is maybe 1,200.00 to 1,500.00 but your going to have to work at it to get this price as the play money is just not out there right now. NICE MACHINE GRANT, and this is the early classic small size Electro/Mechanical slot machine great for a small house or apartment.

Cheers

Expertise

I am an expert on old coin operated machines, slot machines, trade stimulator's, jukeboxes, old arcade machines, etc. I have been identifying these for people who respond to my web site listed below, for a few years now. In almost all cases I am able to tell them about their old coin operated machines, the year, the value, and other general information about their machines. I do not know much about soda vending machines, coin banks, or scales, but I will try to help you with these if I can. Please email photo's to: jackpot7@ix.netcom.com My web site is at: http://www.coinslots.com

Experience

I bought my first slot machine, a .50 Cent Mills Black Cherry in 1969 and have been hooked from that time, I still have that Slot machine! Before that I found a open barrel full of old scraped jukebox wall boxes behind a restaurant, I wanted them all but never took a one of them. Anything that took a coin drove me nuts!
