Collectibles-General (Antiques)/Identifying antique furniture

Question
Hi: I have three items of furniture I am trying to identify. A rocker, a rolltop desk and a lamp table. What I'm looking to figure out is the "name" or "style" that the pieces are referred to as. Wood type and any other helpful identifying info. I have included a link to photo bucket that shows pictures of the furniture. Thank you. http://s251.photobucket.com/albums/gg319/rookie1958/antique%20furniture/

Answer
Thanks for your question,
The roll top desk is oak. It's hard to set a time frame because they made that style for many years up into the 1950s. I'm sure you looked all over for a tag, inside the drawers?
The lamp table seems to be a newer table, 40-50s, that is based on a few older pieces. It has a Duncan Phyfe style leg.
The chair is from the depression era, 1920s-1940s, and is an unusual piece with that back.
Both the table and chair appear to be made of a hardwood and stained to give it the look and color desired. This was as common then as it is today.
I hope this answers some questions for you,
  Rob
