Collectibles-General (Antiques)/Jukebox Value

Question
I have a jukebox that was made in 72. There was only supposed to be 1 made, but the plans were pirated and someone made a second one. I am assuming I have the original since I do have serial #'s. It is A ROWE/AMI. It is a tube jukebox. It has a 8track karaoke. The records are 45's and are all in the late 60's early 70's. Just curious of how much this may be worth.

Answer
Hi Sue,

Well this is really an imposable question because say you have the only one right?, that would mean that there has never been another one sell, so there is nothing to compare prices with. Without anything to go by, then it is worth what the seller is willing to sell it for, and what the buyer is willing to pay for it. The way I would sell it is at a well know auction company, or advertise for offers and that is the best we can do here. Is there no model number?, in 1972 AMI/Roe made a model called MM-6 Superstar which has a nice clean Refurbished retail and working value of $1,200.00. It is a 200 selections, 45 rpm. and can be converted to 100/160 selections. There was an option for all AMI/ROE units called a Photo Vue for MM series, which would give you eye catching film with music. It had 20 full color films which would match moods and tempos of hit tunes but this was not a Karaoke device that I know about. That is about all I have for you Sue. I hope this helps you. I'll attach Photo Vue, photo if I can. Can't attach photo, if you want the photo, write me at jackpot7@ix.netcom.com and I will attach Photo Vue photo and return.

Expertise

I am an expert on old coin operated machines, slot machines, trade stimulator's, jukeboxes, old arcade machines, etc. I have been identifying these for people who respond to my web site listed below, for a few years now. In almost all cases I am able to tell them about their old coin operated machines, the year, the value, and other general information about their machines. I do not know much about soda vending machines, coin banks, or scales, but I will try to help you with these if I can. Please email photo's to: jackpot7@ix.netcom.com My web site is at: http://www.coinslots.com

Experience

I bought my first slot machine, a .50 Cent Mills Black Cherry in 1969 and have been hooked from that time, I still have that Slot machine! Before that I found a open barrel full of old scraped jukebox wall boxes behind a restaurant, I wanted them all but never took a one of them. Anything that took a coin drove me nuts!
