Question

My lamp
This is an old lamp that has been inherited. The shade is obviously missing. Could you identify it, and give me an idea of what kind of shade to look for that would be appropriate. And possibly, where to look for the shade. Thanks!

Answer
Hi, I beleive your lamp is from around the 1040s by looking at the pic. It is a reproduction of the original Gone With the Wind oil lamps of the 1800s. Unfortunately the shade was a round glass matching one that probably got broken in the past. It had about a 4" opening in the top for a glass chimney to pass through. It would be rare to find the exact one to replace it. You can still find plain ones like this that will fit, but won't have the hand painting that matches.

Thanks
