Question
Rodger, I was wondering if you could tell me the approximate value of a Gottlieb pinball machine.  It's a 1971 Play Ball. I believe it's
"Electro magnetic" and in good condition. coin op is not working but we play the game all the time, it works good.  I'm not interested in selling it, but would like to know it's value.

Thanks,
Howie

Answer
Hi Howie,
The 2007 value of you Play Ball is $625.00 and yes it was made in 1971, a one player game and they made 3,076 of the them, the trend value of this machine seams to be going up, increasing in value right now, so this machine is gaining in value as you are playing and having fun with it, you just can't beat that with a stick! That's why I love some of this stuff.

Cheers & thank you,
Rodger Knutson

Expertise

I am an expert on old coin operated machines, slot machines, trade stimulator's, jukeboxes, old arcade machines, etc. I have been identifying these for people who respond to my web site listed below, for a few years now. In almost all cases I am able to tell them about their old coin operated machines, the year, the value, and other general information about their machines. I do not know much about soda vending machines, coin banks, or scales, but I will try to help you with these if I can. Experience

I bought my first slot machine, a .50 Cent Mills Black Cherry in 1969 and have been hooked from that time, I still have that Slot machine! Before that I found a open barrel full of old scraped jukebox wall boxes behind a restaurant, I wanted them all but never took a one of them. Anything that took a coin drove me nuts!
