We have a unique piece we can not identify. Has scissor handles, a small compartment with a press and a pointed end. Gold in color. Measures about 6"long. Has three feet to sit on. We have other photos.

it has taken some time and research but i believe your piece is a 19th century device for trimming wax off of candles..i have spoken to many people and today someone told me what it was....i dont know how it works, but i believe that this is the case..
