Question

peanut machine
Wonder if you can help me gain more info about this peanut machine.  It looks like a Silver King, but we can find no name or identifiers on it.  The red top is plastic, not glass, and has a small crack.  All the rest is perfect & in working order.  Any info you can provide is greatly appreciated! Thanks!

Answer
Hi Joy,

Your sure right about it looking like a silver king, but it is not, it is a Regal, "Regal Hot Nut" The hot nut Regal was a copy of the silver king. The main difference is the Silver King has a red hobnail glass top and the Regal has a red plastic top. Made by Regal Products Co., value was $110.00 back in 1995, that's the last value I have for it. You can find this machine in a book, Silent Salesmen Too by Bill Enes, ISBN 0-944843-02-6 Thanks for including a photo, I would of never found it without one.

Thank You
Sincerely

Expertise

I am an expert on old coin operated machines, slot machines, trade stimulator's, jukeboxes, old arcade machines, etc. I have been identifying these for people who respond to my web site listed below, for a few years now. In almost all cases I am able to tell them about their old coin operated machines, the year, the value, and other general information about their machines. I do not know much about soda vending machines, coin banks, or scales, but I will try to help you with these if I can. Please email photo's to: jackpot7@ix.netcom.com My web site is at: http://www.coinslots.com

Experience

I bought my first slot machine, a .50 Cent Mills Black Cherry in 1969 and have been hooked from that time, I still have that Slot machine! Before that I found a open barrel full of old scraped jukebox wall boxes behind a restaurant, I wanted them all but never took a one of them. Anything that took a coin drove me nuts!
