Question
QUESTION: Hello, Came across a king of diamonds pinball machine from gottlieb,it does work but needs some loving..could you give me a general idea of its value or where to contact someone interested in buying pinball machines?  thank  duane

ANSWER: Hi Duane,

I have had a few of the older Gottlieb games and I like them, don't have any right now and might be interested in yours. Can you tell me where you live, so I could check with my shipper. I'll dig you up some information as to value and post it here or you can write me at jackpot7@ix.netcom and I'll attach some information about your game and e-mail it all to you.
Thanks

Answer
Hi Duane,

Here's what I found on your game, Gottlieb's "King of Diamond" made in 1967, a one player game, they made 3,200 units, and the trend value of this pinball is, value is going up! Value of this game in perfect condition, like out of the box can bring maybe $1,100.00 but in grade three, average and maybe not working but good condition with good no flaking glass value is $500.00 in by guide. This style of machine has a little nick name, we call it a wedge head, and most all the wedge head type of Gottlieb's games are doing well, this name comes from the shape of the back glass cabinet, it is wedge shape. If your machine, like the play field surface and graphics are good, this would be worth getting it fixed up to get the value, but this also could cost you a lot of money to get it in that kind of condition. It is a nice game, and if your into pinball this is a good one to have. Where to sell it, crags list maybe or ebay or consignment at and antique shop, problem is nothing is really selling right now, most people don't have any toy money to spend right now, so inventory is high and buyers are gone.
Thank You
Sincerely
Rodger

Expertise

I am an expert on old coin operated machines, slot machines, trade stimulator's, jukeboxes, old arcade machines, etc. I have been identifying these for people who respond to my web site listed below, for a few years now. In almost all cases I am able to tell them about their old coin operated machines, the year, the value, and other general information about their machines. I do not know much about soda vending machines, coin banks, or scales, but I will try to help you with these if I can. Please email photo's to: jackpot7@ix.netcom.com My web site is at: http://www.coinslots.com

Experience

I bought my first slot machine, a .50 Cent Mills Black Cherry in 1969 and have been hooked from that time, I still have that Slot machine! Before that I found a open barrel full of old scraped jukebox wall boxes behind a restaurant, I wanted them all but never took a one of them. Anything that took a coin drove me nuts!
