Question

Coke machine
Hi,

Is there anyone who can help me with some questions about a 1949 model 39 Coke machine?  I am considering selling it and would like to talk to someone who can help me evaluate what it may be worth.

Answer
Hi Jim,

You may have read that I really try to stay away from pop machines but I will try to help you if you rate me high, and nothing less. A model number would really help but by your photo you have what is called a Vendo 6-Case Vertical, vends 110 bottles, and pre-cools 34. weight 198 pounds. Made in the late 40's early 50's. This machine in average condition is worth $475.00, fully Restored it can be worth $1,650.00. This cooler was designed primarily for indoor use, it has no coin mechanism. Typically, this machine would have been in the corner grocery store, a deli, or even the lobby of a gas station.
I hope this helps Jim
Thank You

Expertise

I am an expert on old coin operated machines, slot machines, trade stimulator's, jukeboxes, old arcade machines, etc. I have been identifying these for people who respond to my web site listed below, for a few years now. In almost all cases I am able to tell them about their old coin operated machines, the year, the value, and other general information about their machines. I do not know much about soda vending machines, coin banks, or scales, but I will try to help you with these if I can. Experience

I bought my first slot machine, a .50 Cent Mills Black Cherry in 1969 and have been hooked from that time, I still have that Slot machine! Before that I found a open barrel full of old scraped jukebox wall boxes behind a restaurant, I wanted them all but never took a one of them. Anything that took a coin drove me nuts!
