AboutRodger Knutson Expertise I am an expert on old coin operated machines, slot machines, trade stimulator's, jukeboxes, old arcade machines, etc. I have been identifying these for people who respond to my web site listed below, for a few years now. In almost all cases I am able to tell them about their old coin operated machines, the year, the value, and other general information about their machines. I do not know much about soda vending machines, coin banks, or scales, but I will try to help you with these if I can. Please email photo's to: jackpot7@ix.netcom.com My web site is at: http://www.coinslots.com
Experience I bought my first slot machine, a .50 Cent Mills Black Cherry in 1969 and have been hooked from that time, I still have that Slot machine! Before that I found a open barrel full of old scraped jukebox wall boxes behind a restaurant, I wanted them all but never took a one of them. Anything that took a coin drove me nuts!
Question QUESTION: I have a Gottlieb pinball machine from the 1940's called School Days which features a tic-tac-toe board on the center of the playing field. It hasn't been used in years and likely needs some work. How much is such a machine worth and where is the best place to sell it?
ANSWER: Hi Beth,
Well I have your machine in my reference but it's not listed in most of the books, so I have to go dig through box's of reference information to find what I have on it. So please give me a bit and I'll get back to you on this. Oh, I show it being made in 1941.
Sincerely
Rodger Knutson http://www.coinslots.com
I am guessing it's value is from 300.00 to 600.00 working and in good condition. I'll let you know if I find any other information on it.
Thank You
Rodger

QUESTION: What is the best way to sell a pinball machine?
Answer Hi Beth,
That's a million dollar question, the best way to sell it, or the easiest way, or the way to get the most money out of it? I would say that Crags list is a very good way to do it and it's free, it's at: http://seattle.craigslist.org/ Just find the list for your area there. ebay is another way but you have to ship it. Then there is pinball and game room magazines where you can place adds. Then there is also the want adds in your local paper or the nickel want adds free paper, the buy-n-sell paper. Another way is to consign it or sell it outright to an antique shop.
