About Rodger Knutson
Expertise
I am an expert on old coin operated machines, slot machines, trade stimulator's, jukeboxes, old arcade machines, etc. I have been identifying these for people who respond to my web site listed below, for a few years now. In almost all cases I am able to tell them about their old coin operated machines, the year, the value, and other general information about their machines. I do not know much about soda vending machines, coin banks, or scales, but I will try to help you with these if I can. Please email photo's to: jackpot7@ix.netcom.com My web site is at: http://www.coinslots.com

Experience
I bought my first slot machine, a .50 Cent Mills Black Cherry in 1969 and have been hooked from that time, I still have that Slot machine! Before that I found a open barrel full of old scraped jukebox wall boxes behind a restaurant, I wanted them all but never took a one of them. Anything that took a coin drove me nuts!

Collectibles-General (Antiques) - 1940's Gottlieb pinball machine

Expert: Rodger Knutson - 3/29/2009

Question
I have a Gottlieb pinball machine from the 1940's called School Days which features a tic-tac-toe board on the center of the playing field.  It hasn't been used in years and likely needs some work.  How much is such a machine worth and where is the best place to sell it?

Answer
Hi Beth,

Well I have your machine in my reference but it's not listed in most of the books, so I have to go dig through box's of reference information to find what I have on it. So please give me a bit and I'll get back to you on this. Oh, I show it being made in 1941.
Sincerely
Rodger Knutson

I am guessing it's value is from 300.00 to 600.00 working and in good condition. I'll let you know if I find any other information on it.
Thank You
Rodger
