Question

Bally on centerline sl
Hi Rodger,
I have a 4 foot tall full sized Bally "on centerline" 5 coin 3 reeled slot machine. When I plug it in all the lights come on and it works, however the "coin Hopper" i'm told is missing. Can you give me a model #, or year or what its worth? I'll e-mail you pictures. thanks!

Answer
Hi Vikki,

This is a Bally, and I believe it is an electro/mechanical machine, meaning it doesn't have printed circuit boards, Bally model E series had circuit boards so yours is not in the E series, so it's going to have a model number like a model 935, or 942, something like that. The model was stamped on a tag below the handle, out side on a metal tag, but I don't see this tag in your photo. I could be scribed on the inside some ware. I need to see a photo with the door open to see what your missing, email photo's to jackpot7@ix.netcom.com Also I see your are also missing the bottom board which included a coin tray, and someone made something to replace it. I have that board and coin tray around here if you want one to replace that home made board I think. Your machine is called a 5 coin multiplier and not knowing the model number I would guess it year is about 1975 and that would be real close if not right on. Please send some photo's of the inside so I can see if I can help you out on the parts OK?
Cheers

Expertise

I am an expert on old coin operated machines, slot machines, trade stimulator's, jukeboxes, old arcade machines, etc. I have been identifying these for people who respond to my web site listed below, for a few years now. In almost all cases I am able to tell them about their old coin operated machines, the year, the value, and other general information about their machines. I do not know much about soda vending machines, coin banks, or scales, but I will try to help you with these if I can. Please email photo's to: jackpot7@ix.netcom.com My web site is at: http://www.coinslots.com

Experience

I bought my first slot machine, a .50 Cent Mills Black Cherry in 1969 and have been hooked from that time, I still have that Slot machine! Before that I found a open barrel full of old scraped jukebox wall boxes behind a restaurant, I wanted them all but never took a one of them. Anything that took a coin drove me nuts!
