About Rodger Knutson
Expertise
I am an expert on old coin operated machines, slot machines, trade stimulator's, jukeboxes, old arcade machines, etc. I have been identifying these for people who respond to my web site listed below, for a few years now. In almost all cases I am able to tell them about their old coin operated machines, the year, the value, and other general information about their machines. I do not know much about soda vending machines, coin banks, or scales, but I will try to help you with these if I can. Please email photo's to: jackpot7@ix.netcom.com My web site is at: http://www.coinslots.com

Experience
I bought my first slot machine, a .50 Cent Mills Black Cherry in 1969 and have been hooked from that time, I still have that Slot machine! Before that I found a open barrel full of old scraped jukebox wall boxes behind a restaurant, I wanted them all but never took a one of them. Anything that took a coin drove me nuts!

Expert: Rodger Knutson - 3/16/2009

Question
We have an old gum machine made by the stoner mfg. co. ill. It does not have a key and we were wondering if we could get a key or have one made. Also some history on the machine and what it might be worth. it is about 18 inches by 11 inches by 4 inches deep. Thank you, Melissa

Answer
Hi Melissa,

First let me cut and copy some information for you here;

For Gumball Globes and parts;
Give these people a call or email, they sell vending globes and parts, also decals. Also they have some original parts and globes. Dan Davids at djdavids@earthlink.net and some phone numbers here: (310) 349-2082 or Phil Cunningham at (818) 845-4964.

LOCKS & KEY, Problems:
For Mills, and other slots, for lock or keys and lock work,  jukebox keys, arcade keys, a good source is:
Jack Prince
491 Evergreen Dr.
Tonawanda NY 14159

OK, that being done on to the next;

Your Stoner Mfg. Corp. Fresh Gum was made in 1940, this 6-column tab gum vendor is made of formed metal. Stoner was better known for its larger vending machines, this one is 18 1/2" tall. value in 1995 was $50.00 but that was 15 years ago and that is the latest value in a printed value guide that I know about, could be more today I just don't know.

I hope this helps you Melissa, and thanks for adding a photo as I would of been lost without one.

Thank You and.....
Cheers
