About Rodger Knutson
Expertise
I am an expert on old coin operated machines, slot machines, trade stimulator's, jukeboxes, old arcade machines, etc. I have been identifying these for people who respond to my web site listed below, for a few years now. In almost all cases I am able to tell them about their old coin operated machines, the year, the value, and other general information about their machines. I do not know much about soda vending machines, coin banks, or scales, but I will try to help you with these if I can. Please email photo's to: jackpot7@ix.netcom.com My web site is at: http://www.coinslots.com

Experience
I bought my first slot machine, a .50 Cent Mills Black Cherry in 1969 and have been hooked from that time, I still have that Slot machine! Before that I found a open barrel full of old scraped jukebox wall boxes behind a restaurant, I wanted them all but never took a one of them. Anything that took a coin drove me nuts!

Collectibles-General (Antiques) - Seeburg HSC-1 prototype

Expert: Rodger Knutson - 3/26/2009

Question
I have a Seeburg HSC-1 jukebox. It was designed for home use and I have one of the non-serialized systems placed in the board members house for evaluation. It hold's 50 LP's and selections are made by using a rotary dialer. It is a 900 watt system with a switch/volume control for out of cabinet speakers. It also has a AM/FM tuner built in.
Could you tell me it's approximate value?
It is functional and the cabinet is in good condition.
I could upload a picture if you need to see it.

Thank you,
Jim

Answer
Hi Jim,

Well I did find some information on your 1967 Seeburg HSC-1, they also made a HSC-2 in 1968 but it looks different. I'll be scanning this information and sending it to you as you went me a photo so I can attach it t you email and return it with my information. Value Guide information is disappointing for such a beautifully piece, and these were produced but can't find anything on how many units were made. The Seeburg Home Entertainment Unit is a WHOPPER at almost 6 feet long! and holds 50 long playing albums! They were Available with many accessories, including remote control, headphones and speakers. Three grade values are listed for 2008, grade 1 is like new out of the box and it is $200.00, grade 2 is $100.0 and grade 3 is $25.00. Disappointing but this is just a value guide, you can ask what you want for it.

Thank You
Sincerely
Rodger Knutson
