Question
Hi, I just came across a Speedy Stitcher for sewing heavy material. I came from Sportsman Post in NY and the post mark is Dec -8-58.
There's no one in my family who did leather work but can you tell me a little about it. It has thread and 3 large needles. It's pretty cool looking. Is this something worth selling?
Thanks

Answer
Hello Deb,
These are neat sewing tools.
I have included a link for you -- it will tell you all you want to know with accuracy. They are still sold today and parts are readily available.
These are not 'unique' or 'rare' tools so value is minimal - under $10 of you wanted to try to sell it on eBay for instance.

Irene

Expertise

I have been a collector of antique sewing tools and thimbles for over 30 years. I am also a dealer in this field and sell on eBay under the name -- serengeti2. I am NOT, and I repeat NOT an expert on antique or vintage domestic household sewing machines used for everyday home sewing. I can offer help when it comes to TOY or miniature collectible sewing machines ONLY.
