Question

cherub lamp
I was given this beautiful metal(not sure of the type) twin cherub lamp from an aunt.  It comes with an ornate metal shade with crystals the 1.25 inch diameter. 3 on each sleeve x 6 sleeves. There are 10 crystals around the base of the "shade" measuring the same size.  The top of the lamp has 4 metal sockets, the base has 4 metal sockets.  It turns on by a push button on the base, and can light up 4 different ways. Not shown are over 12-24 tear drop crystal links (3 in each) .5 inch diameter that dangle from the base of the lamp shade. When lit this is a gem of a lamp. It was my favorite as a child..  Two Cherubs  rest atop a crystal facetted sphere 3 inch circumfrence. There is a marking of Heyco  53-4376 or 58-4376 near the wiring.  I would like to know as much inorfmation on this lamp as possible. Manufacturer, time period, cleaning recommendations and value. Thanks.

Answer
This style was popular in the 1960s through the 70s. Usually made of spelter (pot metal alloys)with a brass plating. There many MFGs, none worthy of fame!.Clean with windex, or rag with light oil such as wd40. It may be worth $100 to the right buyer.
Thanks
