AboutRodger Knutson Expertise I am an expert on old coin operated machines, slot machines, trade stimulator's, jukeboxes, old arcade machines, etc. I have been identifying these for people who respond to my web site listed below, for a few years now. In almost all cases I am able to tell them about their old coin operated machines, the year, the value, and other general information about their machines. I do not know much about soda vending machines, coin banks, or scales, but I will try to help you with these if I can. Please email photo's to: jackpot7@ix.netcom.com My web site is at: http://www.coinslots.com
Experience I bought my first slot machine, a .50 Cent Mills Black Cherry in 1969 and have been hooked from that time, I still have that Slot machine! Before that I found a open barrel full of old scraped jukebox wall boxes behind a restaurant, I wanted them all but never took a one of them. Anything that took a coin drove me nuts!
Hello,
I have a 1971 Rowe AMI MM-5 New Orleans jukebox. It's in pretty good shape and worked fine until a few months ago; I think the needle is broken, as the jukebox functions properly all the way until the record is on the player and ready to play. I have a few people inquiring about purchasing it. I was wondering what a fair price would be for this jukebox. It also has about 150 records that would be included with it. The picture attached is not my actual jukebox, but it is the same make and model. Also, do you have any knowledge as to how I would get this fixed and/or the cost of fixing this?? Any information you can give me would be greatly appreciated. Thank you.
Answer Hi Billy, in Grade 2 refurbished and at retail in a store about $1,200 with a guarantee. In grade 3 to a dealer about $450.00 in average working condition. So, if it working and it's in good condition it should sell between 450.00 and maybe 1,000.00. Not working I don't know really, maybe a grade 4 with a value of 200.00 as of 2009. Victory Glass on the web has parts and manuals. As for getting it fixd, I couldn't tell you because I don't know what is wrong with it, and finding out what is wrong with it costs the money as it can take some time. Look in the phone book under amusement games, or dealers, and ask them who they have fix there older jukebox's. Most of them are glad to send you to the right person.
Thank You
Rodger
