About Rodger Knutson
Expertise
I am an expert on old coin operated machines, slot machines, trade stimulator's, jukeboxes, old arcade machines, etc. I have been identifying these for people who respond to my web site listed below, for a few years now. In almost all cases I am able to tell them about their old coin operated machines, the year, the value, and other general information about their machines. I do not know much about soda vending machines, coin banks, or scales, but I will try to help you with these if I can. Please email photo's to: jackpot7@ix.netcom.com My web site is at: http://www.coinslots.com

Experience
I bought my first slot machine, a .50 Cent Mills Black Cherry in 1969 and have been hooked from that time, I still have that Slot machine! Before that I found a open barrel full of old scraped jukebox wall boxes behind a restaurant, I wanted them all but never took a one of them. Anything that took a coin drove me nuts!

Collectibles-General (Antiques) - Aztec Pinball Machine

Question
Hello Rodger,
I own a pinball machine and have recently decided that I'd like to start repairing/restoring others as a hobby. I'm looking to buy my first one and have found someone offering a Williams Aztec for $300. I found some very old postings online showing this as a reasonable price, but don't necessarily want to shell out for the Mr. Pinball guide on my first purchase. I want to see if this is something I plan to continue with before I start buying all the materials. Could you please help me identify the value?

Answer
Sure Eric,

I have it right here for you but the value quoted might make you change you mind on waiting: Williams Aztec made in 1976, 4 player game which 10,150 units were made and value is $600.00. But hold the phone here...........Another one was also made; Williams Aztec made in 1977 a 4 player game which 10 were made and value is $900.00. The early one was Electro/Mechanical and the later 10 units were electronic. So, with that I'll sign off so you can run out and open that Aztec up to see if you have lucky 1 thru 10.

Cheers

Rodger Knutson
