About Rodger Knutson
Expertise
I am an expert on old coin operated machines, slot machines, trade stimulator's, jukeboxes, old arcade machines, etc. I have been identifying these for people who respond to my web site listed below, for a few years now. In almost all cases I am able to tell them about their old coin operated machines, the year, the value, and other general information about their machines. I do not know much about soda vending machines, coin banks, or scales, but I will try to help you with these if I can. Please email photo's to: jackpot7@ix.netcom.com My web site is at: http://www.coinslots.com

Experience
I bought my first slot machine, a .50 Cent Mills Black Cherry in 1969 and have been hooked from that time, I still have that Slot machine! Before that I found a open barrel full of old scraped jukebox wall boxes behind a restaurant, I wanted them all but never took a one of them. Anything that took a coin drove me nuts!

Collectibles-General (Antiques) - Coke Machine

Expert: Rodger Knutson - 4/9/2009

Question
I need help!! I have no idea how much my coke machine is worth. I bought it 11 years ago for around 600.00. It is a Vendo but I am having a hard time finding out what year it is. It has 7 bottle holders and takes 25 cents. Any help would be greatly appreciated.

Answer
Hi Becky,

This is a square top type Coke machine, it's not really a collector type pop machine, they have to be old, best way to tell a collector machine like this, is it has to have round corners. This still has some value but for someone who wants an older machine to keep the beer cold. I sold one like this at an auction once and I got 400.00 for it. I beleave that is a high value for it, I would guess the value at 200.00 to 400.00 if it works good. It will not show up in any old antique value guide yet, so I can't find the model, year or value for you.
Thank You
Rodger
