About Rodger Knutson
Expertise
I am an expert on old coin operated machines, slot machines, trade stimulator's, jukeboxes, old arcade machines, etc. I have been identifying these for people who respond to my web site listed below, for a few years now. In almost all cases I am able to tell them about their old coin operated machines, the year, the value, and other general information about their machines. I do not know much about soda vending machines, coin banks, or scales, but I will try to help you with these if I can. Please email photo's to: jackpot7@ix.netcom.com My web site is at: http://www.coinslots.com

Experience
I bought my first slot machine, a .50 Cent Mills Black Cherry in 1969 and have been hooked from that time, I still have that Slot machine! Before that I found a open barrel full of old scraped jukebox wall boxes behind a restaurant, I wanted them all but never took a one of them. Anything that took a coin drove me nuts!

Question
Rodger,

What would a good price be for a 1960 Acme Roulette machine?  I thinking about buying one but the price range that I received from two different people vary by a lot of money.

Thanks,

Larry

Answer
Hi Larry,
I can understand that, there were a few of these out there for awhile but you don't see them very often, not often enough to get a good price fix on them, they just don trade but once in a blue moon so your kinda on you own. I would say you could put $2,000.00 right in the middle of the range, see some offered at 3,000.00 but didn't see them sell, seen them sell for around 1,800.00 to 2,500.00 over my life time, but I could find you a book guide value but it would be no good. I would expect to pay 2K for one in good condition and working and be happy I got it for that. Now Larry, I hate to say this but now you have three different value amounts to figure out. I see them show up on ebay from time to time. This is one of those things that are valued at what the seller is willing to sell it for, and what the buyer is willing to pay for it. Want some information on the Acme roulette? write me at jackpot7@ix.netcom.com and I'll scan some and return it to you if your interested.
Thank You
Sincerely
Rodger Knutson
