Collectibles-General (Antiques) - 2 lamps

Expert: Rex Ransome - 5/2/2009

Question
I have 2 lamps that I recently aquired.  The floor lamp I got at a garage sale.  The man I purchased it from was 77 years old and claimed that it belonged to his parents.  It has on the bottom "A 15 X N".  The ship lamp looks like hammered out copper.  It can hang on a wall or Sit on a table.  Can you identify either one?  Sorry for the bad picture.  It's the best I could do.

Answer
The floor lamp is probably from around the 1920s or 30s. These were typically found in funeral homes, nicer hotel lobbies, etc. With a good shade still intact it is worth around $200-$300. The Ship lamp, if what I am thinking, is from the 60s and worth about $75. Thanks
