I have the opportunity to purchase a small carousel horse for the asking price of $1000. I need to know if this is a reasonable price or if I should negotiate, shipping would amount to $100. and to add the missing stirrups another $25.
Thank you in advance.

Answer That price for a Herschell aluminum "kiddie" horse is very, very high. If you shop around, you can find them for as low as $300. On the high end, $500.00 would be about the maximum retail value. Keep in mind that these are just molded metal so, unlike carved wooden figures, there's no real artistic value.
