About Rodger Knutson
Expertise
I am an expert on old coin operated machines, slot machines, trade stimulator's, jukeboxes, old arcade machines, etc. I have been identifying these for people who respond to my web site listed below, for a few years now. In almost all cases I am able to tell them about their old coin operated machines, the year, the value, and other general information about their machines. I do not know much about soda vending machines, coin banks, or scales, but I will try to help you with these if I can. Please email photo's to: jackpot7@ix.netcom.com My web site is at: http://www.coinslots.com

Experience
I bought my first slot machine, a .50 Cent Mills Black Cherry in 1969 and have been hooked from that time, I still have that Slot machine! Before that I found a open barrel full of old scraped jukebox wall boxes behind a restaurant, I wanted them all but never took a one of them. Anything that took a coin drove me nuts!

Collectibles-General (Antiques) - Antique (1930's) kicker catcher game

Expert: Rodger Knutson - 6/10/2009

Question
Hi!  I purchased an antique kicker catcher game from e-bay.  It is in pretty rough shape.  I had one growing up and I really loved it.  This is a penny machine.  Right now it is inoperable.  The penny mechanism isn't moving, and I am not very mechanically inclined. I believe some other small parts may be missing. Do you know if there is a diagram of how this machine operates, or of anyone that might have parts available for this machine?  I can do cosmetic work on it, but I need some assistance with the mechanical aspect.  I live in North Central West Virginia.

Thanks!

Answer
Hi Dawn,

I have seen your machine so I know what it is, but as for finding parts or schematics and manual for it I have no idea myself. The only guy I can think of right now is Bill, he may deal with these. I'll paste is information here:

Trade Stimulator parts:
Bill Whelan, P.O. Box 617, Daly City California 94017, and his phone number is (415) 765-1189. This is the only source in the whole wide world for trade stimulator parts and reel strips and award cards so don't lose this letter!

If he doesn't have anything I would bet that he could send you in the right direction on were to find the stuff you need. He's a good guy and knows everyone who deals in these things, so give him at shot, I was talking to him on the phone last night, to bad I didn't have your question then, but give him a call or email him.

Thank You

Sincerely

Rodger Knutson
