About Rodger Knutson
Expertise
I am an expert on old coin operated machines, slot machines, trade stimulator's, jukeboxes, old arcade machines, etc. I have been identifying these for people who respond to my web site listed below, for a few years now. In almost all cases I am able to tell them about their old coin operated machines, the year, the value, and other general information about their machines. I do not know much about soda vending machines, coin banks, or scales, but I will try to help you with these if I can. Please email photo's to: jackpot7@ix.netcom.com My web site is at: http://www.coinslots.com

Experience
I bought my first slot machine, a .50 Cent Mills Black Cherry in 1969 and have been hooked from that time, I still have that Slot machine! Before that I found a open barrel full of old scraped jukebox wall boxes behind a restaurant, I wanted them all but never took a one of them. Anything that took a coin drove me nuts!

Collectibles-General (Antiques) - Ideal Dispenser Model 85 soda vending machine

Expert: Rodger Knutson - 6/21/2009

Question
My wife has one of these from her late uncle's trading post in NW NM.  It still has the bottle caps from the 1960's.  It has labels for 7Up and Pepsi.  We can send a photo with the serial number if that would be helpful in identifying this item.  Thanks!

Answer
Hi Stephen,
I don't do soda machines but for you I will. The Ideal Model 85 B slider with the Pepsi label. Vends about 78 bottles and pre cools 72 more, 37 1/2" high, 45 1/2" wide, 27" deep, and weight 312 pounds. Value average condition $175.00 and fully restored $1,100.00. The model 55 B which are everywhere is about half the size of the model 85 B. Hope this information is helpful for you Stephen.

Thank you
Sincerely
Rodger
