About Rodger Knutson
Expertise
I am an expert on old coin operated machines, slot machines, trade stimulator's, jukeboxes, old arcade machines, etc. I have been identifying these for people who respond to my web site listed below, for a few years now. In almost all cases I am able to tell them about their old coin operated machines, the year, the value, and other general information about their machines. I do not know much about soda vending machines, coin banks, or scales, but I will try to help you with these if I can. Please email photo's to: jackpot7@ix.netcom.com My web site is at: http://www.coinslots.com

Experience
I bought my first slot machine, a .50 Cent Mills Black Cherry in 1969 and have been hooked from that time, I still have that Slot machine! Before that I found a open barrel full of old scraped jukebox wall boxes behind a restaurant, I wanted them all but never took a one of them. Anything that took a coin drove me nuts!

Collectibles-General (Antiques) - Seeburg Jukebox Question

Expert: Rodger Knutson - 6/10/2009

Question
Hi Rodger I do not know if you can help me I have an old Seeburg Jukebox It is the Happy Days Model Selectomatic 100 model. I have had it for three years now, and it has worked perfectly until now.  When you place a coin in and make your selection certain numbers such as G1 it will scan right bye it and not stop to pick up the 45 and will move on to the next selection that was entered. I seem to have 2 different numbers that do not work. So I put 45s in those spots that are not my favorites and have been operating like that for a while. But I would like to fix the problem, I do not think it is a real serious problem but I'am not sure how to proceed... Hope you can help me.
Thank You in advance.  Troy

Answer
Hi Troy,

Sounds like it could be sticking, maybe dirty or dry record tabs, but it's not something I could really help you with here but...
There is the perfect manual for this sort of thing. You need to go to always juking at:

Look for the Seeburg Reference manuals, there are three Seeburg volumes, you can look for your model and find the one covering your jukebox. These were put together by Harold Hagen who was the juke technician at Jukebox City here in Seattle. He was good, and documented how he found and fixed problems. You find your problem and follow his repair and you might be able to do it yourself. This would be also good for any other problems you may have in the future.

Best of Luck.
