AboutTom Novitski Expertise I am able to answer questions on old coin operated machines. These include vending machines such as gumball or peanut or other machines such as trade stimulators that did not dispense a product but were positioned on a store's counter to bring in customers or stimulate trade. I specialize in machines by Pulver, Zeno, and Mansfield and also any old cast iron or wood machines.
Experience I have been collecting these type of machines for about 10 years and have traveled the country to antique shows and auctions.
Organizations Coin operated collectors association
Education/Credentials I have learned about many of these machines from traveling to view the collections of others.
Question Our machine is wood and across the bottom is printed Victor Vending Chicago 39, Ill. It is 15" tall, 7 1/4" wide, 8 1/2" deep. It has 2 little 5" round "windows" of glass on the sides and a piece of glass on the upper front 6 1/2" X 6 1/4"> How old is this and what did it dispense?
Answer Hi,
Your machine was made by the Victor Vending Corp. Most of these models are from 1950's - 1960's. Without a picture I cannot identify the exact model but from description it sounds like a Baby Grand or Baby Grand deluxe. They are worth around 25-50 bucks depending on condition.
Thanks
