Collectibles-General (Antiques) - retro tv lamp

Question
Hello...This lamp came from my mother-in-law. My husband says he remembers it from the late 1950's.  It is aqua color with round pieces of glass affixed to it; some daubs of ceramic and glitter also decorate it.  Part of the inspection label is still attached. It reads  "underwriters.......inc"   "inspec....."  "PORTABLE L...."    "issue 1991....."  USA is pressed on the bottom.  Can you tell me anthing about it?  Thank you.

Answer
Hi, I am not too familiar with this type of lamp. TRo me it looks like one of the home-made ceramic lamps popular in the 60s and 70s. The markings you see only have to due with the elec components and could have been added later. It may be worth around $40.
