Question Good evening! My husband and I were given an old Howe Scale from the Scale house in our town. The scale has several numbers on it. One number reads 7705 and the other is 10832...these are on the legs of the scale. On the scale it reads Capacity Wagon 12000lbs
Motor Trucks 7200lbs
No. 1154040
These are the only markings we could find other then it saying that it is a Howe Scale and was manufactured in Rutledge Vermont. We were not sure if this scale would be worth anything or not. Thank you for your time.

Answer Hi Melissa,
Howe started business in the 183os in Brandon, VT and later moved to Rutland, VT. The Company was in business until the early 1980s. Retail value of your 12000 pound capacity Wagon scale might be $100-$400 without the levers and platform.
