About Irene Schwall
Expertise
I have been a collector of antique sewing tools and thimbles for over 30 years. I am also a dealer in this field and sell on eBay under the name -- serengeti2. Please note: I am NOT, and I repeat NOT an expert on antique or vintage domestic household sewing machines used for everyday home sewing -- I can offer help when it comes to TOY or miniature collectible sewing machines ONLY.

Experience
My expertise is in ANTIQUE sewing or needlework tools & thimbles, gold, silver, brass, ivory, bone etc. Modern thimbles are not necessarily my strong point but I may be able to help so don't hesitate to ask. I am also very well versed in the identification of Hallmarks on sewing collectibles.

Question
I have one of these and elderly friend gave me to sale for her.  I can send pick of machine and box, I also have the pamplets that came with it.  What can I get for it for her?

Answer
Hello Janet,
Thank you for your query.
If you are asking me what your machine is worth I need for you to give me detail information about the condition of the machine and the box.
I also need for you to include a photograph please of both the box and machine.
If you are planning to sell your machine, then eBay is your best avenue to do this.
Thank you.
Irene

Hello Janet,
Thanks for sending the photos - they are most helpful.
What you have is a Sears Kenmore child's sewing machine. It dates to just after WWII.
The machine is metal and battery operated.
This machine was mass produced and the value is approx. $100-$125.00
Regards,
Irene
