Below you will find pictures of a few bedroom furniture pieces that are part of our mother's estate. We believe these items to be c.1945 era, perhaps manufactured by the White Furniture Co. of Mebane, NC. Her estate also includes a similar living room furniture set. We are told that the entire bedroom set may be worth $850, but we would like to verify the value ourselves. Can we contact the manufacturer or a collector's group that can help us detertmine the value of all of the bedroom and living room pieces?
Thank you for your time and expertise
Answer Phil - White went out of business in 1992. Here is the story of the company and the closing.
I am not aware of specific White collector groups. While the furniture is undoubtedly well made, White was an excellent manufacturer, it is not antique. I suggest you consult a local dealer in better quality used furniture as well as local auctioneers for a value in your area.
Thanks for writing.
