Question
I have an Emerson piano that was made in Boston,USA (est.1849)with a patent of March 24,1885; October 28,1886 and August 22,1893. It has a swing desk, flanged metal frame and a soft top with artistic designs (leaves?) on the legs of the piano. The only number (serial?) = 91258 with 32 under this number in large letters. I was unable to find out any information regarding this piano as to when it was made and how much it is worth in value. I would be very grateful if you could assist me with information in regards to this unique piano. Thank you very much.

Answer
hi, generally speaking if the piano is not made by a famous company like steinway, the value is stricly base on decorative value and how well it plays...its a lot cheaper to buy a used piano than a new one....most pianos in this group sell for about 500, but they are hard to sell...thanks
