Collectibles-General (Antiques)/Large shears

Question
I have a pair of shears that look like they where made by R. Heinish they are about 13'' long and have a brass pivot.  On the ones I can find on line the name is on the brass pivot, these don't have a name but on the blade there is MS right next to one of the handles.  Do you have any ideas about who, when, and about how much they are worth?  Thank-you for any input.  Pete

Answer
Hello Pete.  Shears that large were not normally used as sewing tools.  There are a few books out on the topic, which I do not have.  Perhaps you could find them at your local library or through an internet web site.  Sorry I can't be of more help.  Barbara
