Collectibles-General (Antiques)/PACE SLOT MACHINE

Question
I have an old Pace Slot Machine that rejected slugs and only takes the old buffalo nickles.  I bought it about 10 years ago for $2500.00 from a private party in Texas. I was told it is a valuable machine and was from about 1905 and was made in Chicago.
I would like to know the current value of said machine as I am donating it to charity.  Could you please tell me more about this machine.  If you need a picture, I could try to send you a photo of same.  Thank you very much.

Answer
Hi there John,

Yes, I would really like to help you on this, and get some information, history and value to you about your Pace Slot Machine. I will have to see a photo of it. It most likely is not from that far back, in 1902. I would bet, maybe as early as in the 1920's or later. I would have to see a photo first so I can properly identify it for you  first, so we can go from there with correct information about it. Please send photo's to Jackpot7@q.com
Thank You
Sincerely

Expertise

I am an expert on old coin operated machines, slot machines, trade stimulator's, jukeboxes, old arcade machines, etc. I have been identifying these for people who respond to my web site listed below, for a few years now. In almost all cases I am able to tell them about their old coin operated machines, the year, the value, and other general information about their machines. I do not know much about soda vending machines, coin banks, or scales, but I will try to help you with these if I can. Please email photo's to: jackpot7@ix.netcom.com My web site is at: http://www.coinslots.com

Experience

I bought my first slot machine, a .50 Cent Mills Black Cherry in 1969 and have been hooked from that time, I still have that Slot machine! Before that I found a open barrel full of old scraped jukebox wall boxes behind a restaurant, I wanted them all but never took a one of them. Anything that took a coin drove me nuts!
