Question
I have a mahogany vanity manufactured by Widdicomb co around 1927.

The top section with mirror attaches in back with metal clips that are on the top and bottom section.  They are held in place/aligned with a tapering metal slide that is 2" in length.  It is stamped with "Keeler Brass So." PAT MAY 9, 1916.  I have the 4 clips, but am missing one slide.

Question:  What is the correct term for this "slide" part?  And is there any place that carries reproduction or replacement hardware?  Thank you.

Answer
Sorry to say that most hardware made for the furniture industry is not available. I am familiar with the pieces you mentioned but have never seen them in any catalog. You might find the pieces at a flea or ebay but you more then likely will need to just use something else to attach it but save the old hardware in case you do find the piece you need someday.
