Question
Ok i got a old slot machine from my grandmother and i would like to know the app. value of the item. i dont know much about it but it says "Waco 1972 product of Japan". It belonged to my grandfather but we think my dad had it at one point and lost his money in it and tore the back of and ripped all the wires.I can give you the U.S.A. patent pending nos. 171969 171194 53244
it looks older and needs repair but if it is worth a pretty penny it would be worth the time.

Thanks for the time, please e-mail for any other questions

Answer
Hi Mike,

Waco of Japan makes piles of different toy/bank different slot machine models over the years for selling mostly in Casino gift shops or in those many catalogs we all get in the mail, Like this WACO model here:

http://cgi.ebay.com/Casino-King-Slot-Machine-by-Waco_W0QQitemZ350301078173QQcate...

Or another one:

http://cgi.ebay.com/Vintage-WACO-CASINO-PRINCE-Slot-Machine-JAPAN_W0QQitemZ27051...

They're not really worth a lot of money and there are several different models, all really toys or billed as banks, and sold in the casinos gift shops for years and years and still selling there today, but kinda fun to have around. Value? I see used ones selling from 15.00 to 65.00 depending on the model. You can go to ebay and do a search for WACO slot machine and you should come up with a bunch of them, maybe one just like your model. I hope this information is helpful, and I am sorry I couldn't tell you it was worth more then it is.

Thank You, Sincerely

Expertise

I am an expert on old coin operated machines, slot machines, trade stimulator's, jukeboxes, old arcade machines, etc. I have been identifying these for people who respond to my web site listed below, for a few years now. In almost all cases I am able to tell them about their old coin operated machines, the year, the value, and other general information about their machines. I do not know much about soda vending machines, coin banks, or scales, but I will try to help you with these if I can. Experience

I bought my first slot machine, a .50 Cent Mills Black Cherry in 1969 and have been hooked from that time, I still have that Slot machine! Before that I found a open barrel full of old scraped jukebox wall boxes behind a restaurant, I wanted them all but never took a one of them. Anything that took a coin drove me nuts!
