Question

sewing stuff
Hi.  Mom and dad have inherited many differnt items. Mom likes to display the sewing items but we're looking to decrease some of the volume!  She's got everything from straight pins, flat pins, thimbles, ink stain remover, buttons and tape measures to old oil for sewing machines and spools of thread. Any idea where we can turn to sell the items?
I've attached a photo or 2 of some of the items.

Answer
Hello Heather.  I would suggest two avenues for you:  1)  If you can find a local antiques/collectibles dealer in your area, I would take all the items there to see if they would buy them in a lot; 2) You can sell them yourselves, on ebay.  The items in the picture you sent do not have an awful lot of value as they were plentiful and they are in used condition.  You may want to search for items like those you have to see what prices can be realized.  Good luck with your downsizing.  Barbara
