Question
I have a bally 809 late 60's early 70's  5 cent with the wrong hopper, has model 831 someone stuck in there and as you know it bwon't work in there.where can i buy a hopper for this machine or get the wiring diagram with the right male plug 28 prong the the 2 round prongs. thank you

Answer
Boy, a hard one here Rhonda.

So, your model 809 needs a 30 pin .05 cent hopper right? You count the round pins also. One problem you have in swapping hoppers on these electro/mechanical machines, is that all the payout circuits are hard wired in. So, if you have a model 809 with a 30 pin hopper plug, and get a 30 pin hopper it still might not be wired right for your machine and your game payouts. They made a model like your 809 with several different games installed on this model 809. If you see your model number tag on the side it might say model 809 then a -##, this "dash number" would be the game type installed on this model 809. So, what I am saying is, that you may get lucky by finding a 30 pin hoper and slamming it in to you machine, if your not so lucky, then the 30 pin hopper could be out of a different game and the wiring may be all different then your machines payouts and then will need to be rewired to work in your machine. I might have a 30 pin hopper here somewhere and I will look, E/M hoppers are getting a little scare as these great old e/m machines get older. As for game schematics, again it depends on what game type you have installed in your 809. You can write me at jackpot7@q.com if you want to see if I have a 30 pin hopper or I'll come back here and let you know.

Thank You
Sincerely

Expertise

I am an expert on old coin operated machines, slot machines, trade stimulator's, jukeboxes, old arcade machines, etc. I have been identifying these for people who respond to my web site listed below, for a few years now. In almost all cases I am able to tell them about their old coin operated machines, the year, the value, and other general information about their machines. I do not know much about soda vending machines, coin banks, or scales, but I will try to help you with these if I can. Experience

I bought my first slot machine, a .50 Cent Mills Black Cherry in 1969 and have been hooked from that time, I still have that Slot machine! Before that I found a open barrel full of old scraped jukebox wall boxes behind a restaurant, I wanted them all but never took a one of them. Anything that took a coin drove me nuts!
