Question
Hi, I have recently picked up an old singer machine with a serial number (ak843853) and after contacting singer I was told it was born march 3rd 1952 in NJ.  It is black with a gold, manure silver pattern and appears that it was attached to a cabnet at one time.  I would live to know a balpark value of the machine.  Thanks Charles

Answer
Hello Charles,
Thank you for your query and for providing a photograph.
But I cannot help you I am afraid.  When it comes to sewing machines, I can only comment or advise on antique toy or collectible sewing machines. I am not an expert on full-sized or household sewing machines.
Please resubmit your query to another expert.  If you will read back through some of my prior rejections for the full-sized machines, I have provided web links to sites that may be of interest or helpful to you.
Regards,
Irene

Expertise

I have been a collector of antique sewing tools and thimbles for over 30 years. I am also a dealer in this field and sell on eBay under the name -- serengeti2. I am NOT, and I repeat NOT an expert on antique or vintage domestic household sewing machines used for everyday home sewing. I can offer help when it comes to TOY or miniature collectible sewing machines ONLY.
