Collectibles-General (Antiques)/Old Thimbles

Question
I have two thimbles from my Grandmother and would like to know if either one is of value.  One has a Union Jack symbol flag shaped like an X with bumpy indents on top. The other is silver with the letter B or 8--can't tell.  I can send pictures if you'd like to see them.
Many thanks!

Answer
Hello Connie.  I would need to see pictures to be able to tell you much of anything.  Please send to me at bacchino@twcny.rr.com.  If you could also tell me if they are completely round where you insert your finger, if there are any pinholes in them (hold them up to a good light source and look into the thimble), if there are any marks inside the top of the thimble (use a pencil eraser if there is tarnish).  I look forward to hearing from you.  Barbara
