Question
Sir, I have a very heavy wall hanging arcade machine.  It is in great condition but it does not work.  There are diodes and little wires in back.  There is a scorpion in the middle of the machine, and the word EBIRA alot of crowns that look like the ones in a bowling alley. And alot of chinese writings. There are many nail like pins all around the game.  Face of game is circular  and under the crowns is the word MARUTO.  Would like to get it back in shape to enjoy it.  Any help where to send it or order parts--{need key also} Thank you kindly  Candy

Answer
Hi Candy,

This sounds like a Pachinko Japanese slot machine to me. You can find parts for these, here is one site that will help you: http://www.crowriver.com/coinop/index.htm His name is Roger, you can tell him that Rodger sent you. He might know much more about this then I do but by your description I believe it is one of these Pachinko machines used for gambling in Japan in Casino type places, you bought and played with these ball bearings and when you were down you turned in you balls and got a credit slip, then you could take this down the street to another business and sell the pay ticket or trade it for items. Gambling is illegal there and this is how they go around it. If you type in Pachinko or Pachislo in and do a google search for these you should find tons of information and parts for these, and there are many different models.

Thank You

Expertise

I am an expert on old coin operated machines, slot machines, trade stimulator's, jukeboxes, old arcade machines, etc. I have been identifying these for people who respond to my web site listed below, for a few years now. In almost all cases I am able to tell them about their old coin operated machines, the year, the value, and other general information about their machines. I do not know much about soda vending machines, coin banks, or scales, but I will try to help you with these if I can. Please email photo's to: jackpot7@ix.netcom.com My web site is at: http://www.coinslots.com

Experience

I bought my first slot machine, a .50 Cent Mills Black Cherry in 1969 and have been hooked from that time, I still have that Slot machine! Before that I found a open barrel full of old scraped jukebox wall boxes behind a restaurant, I wanted them all but never took a one of them. Anything that took a coin drove me nuts!
