Question
I have  one of the above and wondered if it is valuable.  It is a black frame with wheel. Has needle and "Singer" across the top arm and an oval decal on the base with "The Singer Manfg. Co." It stands about 6" high and 7" across including knob on wheel. Thanks in advance.

Answer
Hello Betty,
Thank you for your query.  You have not included a photograph or any information about the condition of your toy machine so it is next to impossible for me to even begin to assess a value, I am sorry.
eBay is probably your best bet to find information about what these toy or miniature sewing machines are currently being listed at and selling for.  This is an active market so prices fluctuate.  The rarer the machine and also condition play an important part in the value.
As a general rule, Singer made hundreds of these toy machines so they are generally not as rare or as valuable as some of the early German ones for instance.
Regards,
Irene

Expertise

I have been a collector of antique sewing tools and thimbles for over 30 years. I am also a dealer in this field and sell on eBay under the name -- serengeti2. I am NOT, and I repeat NOT an expert on antique or vintage domestic household sewing machines used for everyday home sewing. I can offer help when it comes to TOY or miniature collectible sewing machines ONLY.
