Question
I have a 1978 Gottlieb EM pinball machine. I understand they only make 470 of these machines, I have number 430.  The machine is in very good shape.  it works well and has no damage.

Any idea how much it is worth or where I can go to find out.  My machine is just like this one.  Thanks http://www.marvin3m.com/gtb/encount.htm

Answer
Hi There Jim,

You have the Electro/Mechanical version of this game? NICE! I had one of the electronic one's but sold it some years back. Value is as of 2010 $1,050.00 for this E/M model, and only $600.00 for the electronic model. Made and released for sale in October of 1978 and yes, they only made 470 of the E.M models before ramping up for making 9,950 units of the electronic model. Thanks for the link as I had to visit it to know what game you had, WOW! I wonder just how many of the e/m units are still around, I would guess a very lot less then the original 470 of them are still around. Nice-Nice-Nice!

Thank You
Sincerely

Expertise

I am an expert on old coin operated machines, slot machines, trade stimulator's, jukeboxes, old arcade machines, etc. I have been identifying these for people who respond to my web site listed below, for a few years now. In almost all cases I am able to tell them about their old coin operated machines, the year, the value, and other general information about their machines. I do not know much about soda vending machines, coin banks, or scales, but I will try to help you with these if I can. Experience

I bought my first slot machine, a .50 Cent Mills Black Cherry in 1969 and have been hooked from that time, I still have that Slot machine! Before that I found a open barrel full of old scraped jukebox wall boxes behind a restaurant, I wanted them all but never took a one of them. Anything that took a coin drove me nuts!
