Question
Ms. Irene,

A client of mine came to me with a 1901  Sears & Roebuck sewing machine in very fine condition, and working.  He was asking for information and worth.  Do you need pictures?  So far I've found that it sold in 1901 for $8.95.  Any help would be greatly appreciated.

Thank you,
Mark Gilin

Answer
Hello Mark,
Is the machine in question a full-sized household sewing machine?
If so, then I am sorry that I really cannot be of assistance to you. My knowledge when it comes to sewing machines is in the antique Toy or Salesman sample sized machines and not household, full-sized machines.
If you read back through some of my past answers when the full sized machine query has been asked, you will find websites that I have listed that may be of assistance to you.
If your machine is a Toy or Small antique collectible kind, please do send photos along with a complete condition report, specify if there are any attachments and if you have the original box etc.
Regards,
Irene

Expertise

I have been a collector of antique sewing tools and thimbles for over 30 years. I am also a dealer in this field and sell on eBay under the name -- serengeti2. I am NOT, and I repeat NOT an expert on antique or vintage domestic household sewing machines used for everyday home sewing. I can offer help when it comes to TOY or miniature collectible sewing machines ONLY.
